Our client a leading civil engineering contractor are looking for a Senior QS.

Core Duties:

* Managing the efficient and economical execution of contracts under the main contract conditions, producing the maximum return to the company, in accordance with the company processes and governance.

* Have a full understanding and ability to deliver NEC3 & NEC4 contracts.

* Proficient in managing change on an ever-evolving project using contractual mechanisms and change management tools (CEMAR), ensuring contractual notifications are made in line with the contract mechanisms.

* Ability to understand and utilise the contract to prove entitlement of change to cost and programme

* Experience in change negotiations and dispute resolution, further advising on parameters in which negotiations can take place.

* Ability to conduct site measurements inclusive of take off and cost analysis

* Track project costs and cost planning

* Submit Applications for Payment promptly in accordance with the contract

* Final account settlements.

Financial Reporting:

* Track project costs and cost planning

* Knowledge and experience in CVR reporting for your project(s), ensuring Cost and Value for the project are accurate and supporting the team in managing the margin.

As part of your role you would be expected to be:

* Responsible for providing sound advice, guidance, and support to the project teams throughout pre-construction and construction phases.

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong ability to work collaboratively with other team members and to report upwards to Senior Management.

* Good personal organisation with the ability to recognise and prioritise work- load, in line with critical deadlines and key programme milestones.

* Well-organised, diligent, proactive, assertive, well-disciplined, and commercially astute with the ability to operate independently and collaboratively.

* Excellent time and organisation management ensuring attendance to internal and client facing project meetings, ensuring responsibilities and actions are noted
