The Opportunity

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join an established and growing construction business based in Bury St Edmunds.

You will be responsible for the commercial performance of your projects, including CVRs, forecasting, cost control, valuations, variations and final accounts.

Projects will generally range from £1m to £6m and will be delivered under JCT Traditional and Design & Build contracts.

The business works across a diverse range of sectors, including:

Commercial
Healthcare

Take responsibility for final accounts and project close-out
Work closely with the operational team to ensure projects remain commercially successful
Provide accurate commercial reporting and forecasting to senior management

About You

You will ideally be:

An experienced Quantity Surveyor / Senior Quantity Surveyor
Confident managing multiple projects simultaneously
Strong technically and commercially
Experienced with JCT Traditional and/or Design & Build
Comfortable producing CVRs and forecasting margins
Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
Commercially astute and proactive in identifying risk and opportunity
Able to work independently while collaborating effectively with project teams
Someone who takes genuine ownership of their projects and commercial outcomes
