Senior Quantity Surveyor
North London | £80,000 - £90,000 + £6,000 Car Allowance/Company Car + Excellent Benefits
A leading UK main contractor is looking to appoint an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to lead the commercial delivery of a £50m new build education project in North London. My client is one of the UK's most successful main contractors and can offer exposure to exciting projects, an excellent work life balance and long term career prospects.
The project forms part of a long-term Department for Education (DfE) framework, offering the opportunity to join the scheme from pre-construction and take it through to successful completion and handover.
As the Lead QS on the project, you'll manage a commercial team of three and take full responsibility for the commercial performance of the project, working closely with the project delivery team and client throughout the process.
Key Responsibilities
Lead all commercial activities from pre-construction through to final account.
Develop and manage project cost plans and budgets.
Oversee procurement, subcontract management and contract administration.
Manage project forecasting, reporting and commercial risk.
Lead, mentor and develop a commercial team of three.
Build strong relationships with the client and key project stakeholders.
Requirements
Previous experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor working for a UK main contractor.
Proven track record delivering new build or complex cut and carve projects valued above £25m.
Strong commercial and contractual knowledge.
Experience leading commercial teams and managing the full project lifecycle.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Salary & Benefits
£80,000 - £90,000 basic salary.
