Senior Quantity Surveyor
Up to £70,000 + £8,000 Car Allowance | Hybrid Working | Exeter / Devon
Long-term AMP8 work. Major infrastructure projects. A senior commercial role with the flexibility to manage your week without being permanently site-based.
A well-established UK Civil Engineering contractor is looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to strengthen its commercial team delivering projects across the South West Water AMP8 framework.
Based from Exeter, you'll work across a secure pipeline of water and infrastructure schemes throughout Devon and the wider South West, combining project responsibility with hybrid working.
The Role
This is a commercially focused position offering plenty of autonomy and responsibility.
As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you'll take ownership of the commercial performance of multiple projects, working closely with operational teams, clients, subcontractors and senior management to protect margins and keep delivery on track.
Your responsibilities will include:
Commercial management of multiple civil engineering and infrastructure projects.
Managing NEC contracts throughout the project lifecycle.
Producing CVRs, forecasts, cash flow reports and financial updates.
Identifying and managing commercial risks and opportunities.
Managing variations, compensation events and contractual change.
Subcontract procurement, management and final accounts.
Leading commercial negotiations with clients and supply chain partners.
Monitoring project performance and providing accurate commercial reporting.
Supporting and developing junior members of the commercial team.
Working alongside operational teams to drive strong commercial outcomes. What You'll Need
You'll be an established Senior Quantity Surveyor with experience gained within civil engineering, utilities, water or major infrastructure.
You'll need a strong understanding of NEC contracts alongside proven experience managing the financial and commercial performance of projects.
