Senior Quantity Surveyor
An established main contractor operating across the UK and Ireland is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join its commercial team, supporting the delivery of high-value construction projects across a range of sectors.

Key responsibilities
Prepare and review project budgets, cost plans and forecasts.
Manage subcontractor procurement, including prequalification, tender assessment, negotiation and preparation of subcontract orders.
Assess subcontractor valuations and certify interim payments, ensuring payment and pay-less notices are issued within the required timescales.
Identify and manage commercial risks, advising project teams on contractual matters.
Prepare and present monthly Cost Value Reconciliation reports.
Maintain effective relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors and internal teams.
Coordinate commercial workloads and monitor progress against deadlines.
Support the management of the commercial team, supervising and mentoring Quantity Surveyors.
Work closely with operational teams to maintain effective cost control throughout project delivery.
Candidate requirements
A degree in Quantity Surveying or a relevant discipline.
Three to five years' experience within the construction industry.
Good working knowledge of JCT and NEC contracts.
Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills.
Excellent communication, organisation and time-management skills.
Strong numerical, IT and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work independently and meet project deadlines.
Flexibility to travel to project sites as required
