Description:
Extrastaff are currently recruiting for one of the UK’s leading Automotive OE small/medium volume component and accessory parts specialists based in Northamptonshire.
Responsibilities:
* Manage quality issues across manufacturing & Goods Receiving teams.
* Identify root causes of defects and implement corrective actions.
* Collaborate with stakeholders to swiftly resolve quality issues.
* Conduct or assist with audits.
* Implement and maintain control plans.
* Have authority to halt production if necessary.
* Ensure compliance with relevant standards.
* Aid in quality training and SOP adherence.
* Assist in sample approvals and promote APQP & continuous improvement.
* Contribute to new product development and process enhancements.
* Drive process improvement initiatives.
Qualifications and Experience Levels:
· Relevant manufacturing/engineering degree preferred, or ONC, A Levels, BTec Diploma Level 3 or equivalent NVQ level 3 qualification
· Membership of an industry related Professional Body would be advantageous
· Experience of working in or with Quality Assurance
· Six Sigma skills are highly desirable
· Experience of dealing with both customers and supplier
