Summary:

Perceived Quality – Appearance Quality is responsible for setting and delivering the aesthetical targets for new vehicles, based on benchmarking and customer data insights. This involves assessing and reporting statuses during project phases and driving the resolution of identified issues.

What You'll Do:

Develop and execute a strategic plan for achieving desired perceived quality attributes related to appearance applied in automotive interiors and exteriors. This includes consistency, execution of interfaces, robustness feel, etc. in collaboration with a cross-functional team, ensuring customer expectations, brand identity, and industrial standards.
Document and capitalise on findings to communicate the appearance standards, evaluations, and improvements initiatives.
Investigate, identify, and analyse appearance-related issues or concerns, working in a cross-functional team to identify root causes and implement an improved outcome to achieve the desired appearance. In the meantime, identify and communicate the aspects enhancing and emphasise the Perceived Quality of the products.
Check virtual and real prototypes, to ensure compliance with the plan elaborated to set the Perceived Quality of appearance expectations. Report and feed these expectations back to various stakeholders by using the appropriate means, for example, rendering, prototyping, photographs, etc.
Prospect and identify for new technologies, materials, features, solutions, trends, which could enhance the appearance quality perceived by using benchmarking, customer insights, contact with suppliers, automotive events, etc.

What You'll Bring:

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, Human Factor or a related field.
Deep knowledge of factors influencing perceived quality, including visual appearance, haptic and feel.
Proficiency in using relevant software tools for materials analysis, testing, and documentation, such as CAD software, data analysis software, and Microsoft Office suite.
Experience of working within a different field, other than automotive. 
Understanding of the challenges inherent to complex assemblies and technologies.
