Senior Quality Engineer
Telford
£60,000
Technical Network are leading a search for an automotive manufacturer based in Telford. Are you a seasoned Senior Quality Engineer with a strong background in the automotive industry? Are you well-versed in Core Quality Tools and have experience with IATF 16949 audits? If so, we have the perfect opportunity for you.
Responsibilities:
Work closely with the Quality Laboratory and Metallurgy teams to ensure they achieve their targets and inspect the submitted parts on time.
Own and drive process capability – CP/CPK on all developing programs (SPC, CM and in process gauge development Design, Quote, Procurement, Validation).
Review component drawings and understand the application requirements for each component with dimensional studies on finished goods with road maps as required.
Develop and implement quality control processes and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and customer requirements
Lead and conduct quality audits and inspections of manufacturing processes, materials, and finished products.
Provide technical expertise and guidance to manufacturing teams to improve quality and reliability of products.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Responsible for supplier quality assessments and audits to ensure quality requirements are met throughout the supply chain.
Skills and attributes:
Strong understanding of Core Quality Tools (APQP, SPC, MSA, FMEA and PPAP)
Proficient in and learning the Business Operating Systems (IATF 16949)
Experience in an automotive / high volume manufacturing environment
Understanding of Manufacturing Engineering
Problem Solving Skills – PPS / 8D / Six Sigma
IATF / TS16949 Internal Auditor
To be computer literate and able to use MS Office package (MiniTab would be an asset)
Shift:
Mon-Thu (8:30am-5pm) Friday (8:30am-2pm)
