Our client is a leading tier 1 manufacturer within the automotive sector (and others) supplying to customers globally.
Due to incoming company projects and growth they are now in the need for a permanent Senior Quality Engineer to join the team.
Ideal candidate background
* Experience working with IATF standards.
* 5 years professional experience in a Quality Engineer position
* Knowledge of ISO management systems
* Experience of being a QE in a manufacturing environment
* Use of SAP Quality Management
* Problem solving using 8D (or other tools)
* Auditing experience (System, product, process)
* Strong analytical skills
* Ability to understand engineering drawings.
* Excellent written and oral communication skills
* Pragmatic approach to problem solving.
Main Duties
* Plan and coordinate quality activities in conjunction with the Quality Manager to ensure all components; processes and product meet the specified requirements.
* Aid departments to resolve processing issues and promotes continuous improvement.
* Provide quality planning and training as necessary to support the successful launch of new parts, processes,
* and products.
* Investigate and resolve Customer Complaints and Warranty claims and assess their causes to close out.
* Liaise with suppliers and internal operations to effectively resolve all issues, promote quality, productivity improvements and cost reduction.
* Devise and implement various methods and procedures for inspecting and evaluating the reliability and accuracy of products, processes and production systems.
* Using Quality Tools for the Analysis of defects in materials and products and recommends corrective measures to maintain quality standards. Maintains and continually improves the quality of the product, monitor & report quality KPI’s.
* Drives corrective and preventative actions including process and product design improvements for procedural, product or product deficiencies through the analysis of data.
* Attend daily SQDIP meetings, investigate, resolve & report shop floor quality issues
* Undertake any other duties as may be reasonably required within the scope of the role.
