TPA Recruit is supporting an advanced clean room manufacturing business in the search for Senior Quality Engineers. This is a strong opportunity for a quality professional who wants to step towards Quality Manager level while remaining close to process improvement, manufacturing quality and practical problem solving.
The Senior Quality Engineer will support a modern sterile manufacturing environment, working with production, engineering and quality colleagues to improve processes, collect and analyse data, solve repeat issues and strengthen quality control across the product lifecycle.
This Senior Quality Engineer role would suit someone from clean room, medical device, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, life sciences, precision manufacturing or another tightly controlled production environment. Direct clean room experience is preferred, although candidates who are fully comfortable wearing clean room garments and working in a sterile environment will also be considered.
Key Responsibilities
* Improve manufacturing quality processes within a clean room or controlled production environment.
* Collect, interpret and use quality data to identify trends, root causes and improvement actions.
* Support process design, process validation, control plans and quality planning activity.
* Lead or support structured problem solving, including non-conformance investigation and corrective actions.
* Work with production and engineering teams to reduce repeat issues and improve right-first-time performance.
* Support the development, control and improvement of QMS processes, procedures and quality records.
* Provide quality engineering input into new product introduction, product lifecycle activity and process changes.
* Promote strong quality standards across a team-based manufacturing environment.
Experience Required
* Quality engineering experience within manufacturing, engineering or a regulated production environment.
* Clean room experience, or the confidence and discipline to work in full clean room clothing in a sterile setting.
* Strong process improvement, problem-solving and data analysis capability.
* Experience with control plans, process design, non-conformance management and root cause analysis.
* Good understanding of QMS requirements, quality documentation, controlled processes and process risk, with proven working knowledge of ISO 9001 standards; ISO 13485 is advantageous.
* Ability to influence production, engineering and operational teams in a practical, professional way.
* Suitable for a Senior Quality Engineer who wants to progress towards Quality Manager responsibility.
Benefits
* Salary of £50,000 - £55,000.
* Private medical cover.
* 28 days holiday plus bank holidays.
* Four weeks paternity leave.
* Comprehensive benefits package.
* Small amount of flexible remote working when required, with the role mainly on-site.
