Role: Senior Property Manager
Location: Brighton, East Sussex (4 days office-based) with one day per week at their rural East Sussex site
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am - 5:00pm
Pay: £40,000 - £45,000 per annum (depending on experience)

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an Senior Property Manager to join one of our longstanding clients, a growing business based in Brighton.

This is a varied role combining strategic portfolio management with hands-on estate management. You'll oversee a diverse residential and commercial property portfolio, manage external property agents and contractors, and ensure a number of high-value commercial sites are maintained to the highest standards.

The Requirements

Previous experience within estates management, property management or portfolio management
Strong knowledge of residential and commercial property management
Understanding of ASTs, HMOs, leasehold and commercial property legislation
Experience managing external managing agents and contractors
Excellent organisational and project management skills
Strong financial and budget management experience
Good understanding of health and safety, fire and property compliance
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Proactive approach with strong problem-solving abilities
Ability to manage multiple priorities across a varied property portfolio
The Role

Oversee the day-to-day management of an in-house property portfolio
Manage relationships with third-party property management companies across a large residential and commercial portfolio
Monitor property performance, maintenance programmes and outstanding actions
Oversee the management and maintenance of high-value commercial and operational sites
Coordinate contractors and ensure works are completed to a high standard
Ensure compliance with all health and safety, fire and environmental legislation
Conduct regular inspections, risk assessments and compliance reviews
Develop preventative maintenance programmes across the portfolio
Monitor budgets, capital expenditure and operating costs
Produce monthly and annual property performance reports
Identify opportunities to improve the value and performance of the portfolio
Support the operational requirements of commercial sites and facilities
Maintain accurate maintenance records and oversee annual portfolio inspections
