Description:

Senior Property Accountant - OUR CLIENT is an established and cash rich international property owner and investor / asset manager who own a £multi- billion global real estate portfolio. They have appointed us to recruit a Senior Property Accountant to take full ownership of all aspects of an international portfolio: from cashflow and management accounts through to year-end statutory accounts review and tax submissions. This role will provide exposure to different jurisdictions in terms of both accounting regulations and corporate governance and administration. The role offers scope for growth and will be ideal for someone that is looking to step into a more challenging role with increasing responsibilities.

THE ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES of the Senior Property Accountant:

Reviewing quarterly full company management accounts, monthly cash flows and year-end statutory accounts under IFRS and local GAAPs and associated audits.
Reviewing monthly bank reconciliations and quarterly rent reconciliations.
Reviewing annual budgets and business plans in conjunction with asset managers
Preparing quarterly board paper for property portfolio with variance analysis.
Responsibility for Corporate administration for non-UK companies, coordinating with legal and secretarial professionals and other external advisors and relationship building for tax and corporate matters.
Managing inter-company balances and reviewing VAT and Tax returns prepared by agents.
Supporting the Asset Managers including providing a financial review of prospective tenants and lease cashflow modelling as and when received.
Assisting the Finance Manager in various other projects.

THE ROLE REQUIREMENTS and SKILLS of the Senior Property Accountant:

Ideally Qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) accountant although advance Part-qualified studiers will be considered -preferably with an experience gained within real estate / property investment sector.
Strong MS Excel and Word skills as well as property management systems such as QUBE, MRI, etc.
Strong organisational skills.
Strong enquiring, analytical and problem-solving skills.
Possibility of overseas travel required (although minimal).
Previous experience working with international organisations a plus.
