Senior Project Manager / Project Director
South West & North West London | Flagship £60m Project Portfolio
Our client is a well-established, family-owned construction business with an annual turnover of approximately £25m and a strong reputation for delivering high-quality new build and refurbishment projects across the residential, hospitality and mixed-use sectors. With an exciting pipeline of work and a collaborative, entrepreneurial culture, they are now seeking a senior leader to spearhead the delivery of two major schemes in London.
The Opportunity
This is a rare chance to lead the delivery of two landmark projects, each valued at approximately £30m, offering significant responsibility and visibility within the business:
* A 9-storey residential development
* A 200+ bedroom new build hotel
Located across South West London, these projects represent key strategic schemes for the company and will provide the successful candidate with the platform to make a genuine impact on the business's future growth.
The Role
Reporting directly to the senior leadership team, you will take full ownership of project delivery from pre-construction through to handover, ensuring programmes, budgets, quality standards and client expectations are consistently achieved.
Key responsibilities include:
* Leading the successful delivery of both projects through all stages of the construction lifecycle.
* Providing strategic oversight across programme, procurement, commercial performance and risk management.
* Managing and mentoring site-based teams, including Senior Quantity Surveyors, Site Managers and Site Administrators.
* Working closely with the Technical Manager to drive design coordination and resolve project challenges.
* Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors and key stakeholders.
* Ensuring the highest standards of health & safety, quality and operational excellence.
* Driving project performance and fostering a positive, collaborative team culture.
About You
We're keen to speak with experienced construction professionals who can demonstrate:
* A proven track record delivering major new-build projects valued at £20m-£30m+.
* Experience operating as a Senior Project Manager or Project Director within a main contractor environment.
* Strong residential, hotel, mixed-use or living sector experience.
* Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage high-performing teams.
* Strong commercial awareness and the ability to oversee multiple workstreams simultaneously.
* Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
* A hands-on approach combined with the strategic capability to drive complex projects to a successful conclusion.
