A 6 months+ opportunity for a Senior Project Manager Digital Local Authority has arisen with the lcoal authorities in Bristol.
Pay rate of £361,44 PAYE or £405,00 Umbrella.
The council is seeking to appoint an interim Project Manager (Strategic Innovation - Digital).
There is a 6-month initiation phase ahead of the service going live in October 2024. This involves working with Councils (and other stakeholders including telecoms providers) to finalise the Digital Office scheme and co-design the prototype service, resource model and joint workplan, plus governance framework and monitoring arrangements that enable Councils and Combined Authority to have strategic oversight.
The set-up phase will focus on co-designing the Digital Office scheme with stakeholders, setting in place the required resource, coordination functions and joint working arrangements.
Skills and Experience:
Professional project management qualification (e.g. APM/MSP/PRINCE2).
Extensive project/programme management experience.
Experience of local authority / combined authority / government working methods and processes.
Experience of working in a complex stakeholder environment at a senior level.
High level of project resource/financial management, including planning, forecasting and monitoring.
Knowledge of Telecoms sectors and digital connectivity (fixed, mobile and wireless).
Experience with digital infrastructure deployment and the role of Local Government.Hours of work are 9am till 5pm, Monday to Friday, 37 hours per week.
