Description:

A growing construction consultancy in London is looking for a Senior Project Manager to join its project management team. This is an excellent opportunity for a Senior Project Manager to work across a varied portfolio of commercial, residential, and education projects while taking a leading role in delivery and client management.

The Senior Project Manager will manage projects from inception through to completion, working closely with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal teams. This Senior Project Manager role would suit an experienced Senior Project Manager who is confident leading commissions, coordinating multidisciplinary teams, and managing multiple stakeholders. The successful Senior Project Manager will join an ambitious consultancy with a developing pipeline of work and clear opportunities for long-term progression.

You must have prior construction consultancy experience to be considered for this role.

The Senior Project Manager's role

The Senior Project Manager will lead commercial, residential, and education projects through both pre-contract and post-contract stages.

The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for programme management, procurement, consultant coordination, contract administration, risk management, change control, project reporting, and stakeholder engagement. They will chair meetings, monitor contractor performance, manage client expectations, and ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality.

The Senior Project Manager will also maintain strong client relationships, support fee proposals and bids where required, and mentor junior members of the project management team.

The Senior Project Manager

The successful Senior Project Manager will have:

Prior experience working within a construction consultancy environment
Strong experience across commercial, residential, education, or similar built environment projects
Experience leading projects through pre-contract and post-contract stages
A degree in Project Management, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Building Surveying, or a related discipline
MRICS, MAPM, MCIOB, or another relevant professional qualification
Good knowledge of JCT contracts and construction procurement
Strong client-facing, leadership, and stakeholder management skills
Experience managing multidisciplinary teams
The ability to manage several commissions simultaneously
A proactive, commercially aware, and professional approach
