Description:
A well-established construction consultancy based in London is looking for a Senior Project Manager to join its expanding project management team. The Senior Project Manager will lead the delivery of office, hotel and residential developments across London, working with a strong client base and experienced professional teams.
This is an attractive opportunity for a Senior Project Manager who wants to take ownership of complex projects while continuing to broaden their sector experience. The Senior Project Manager will manage projects from early feasibility through to completion, and the Senior Project Manager will have the flexibility to work across commercial offices, hotels and residential schemes. The Senior Project Manager will also support junior colleagues and play an important role in strengthening client relationships.
You must have prior construction consultancy experience to be considered for this role.
The Senior Project Manager's role
The Senior Project Manager will lead projects through all stages of the development process, including briefing, design coordination, procurement, construction and handover.
The Senior Project Manager will manage consultant teams, chair project meetings, prepare programmes and reports, monitor risks and ensure that projects are delivered in line with agreed cost, quality and programme objectives.
The role will involve direct client contact and responsibility for maintaining strong working relationships with developers, investors, operators and other key stakeholders. Projects will include high-quality office refurbishments, hotel developments and residential schemes throughout London.
The Senior Project Manager may also assist with fee proposals, business development and the mentoring of more junior team members.
The Senior Project Manager
The successful Senior Project Manager will have:
Strong Project Management experience within a UK construction consultancy
Experience delivering office, hotel, residential or mixed-use developments
A degree in Project Management, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Building Surveying or a related subject
Chartered status with RICS, APM or CIOB, or significant progress towards qualification
Experience managing projects across multiple RIBA stages
Excellent client-facing and stakeholder management skills
The confidence to lead consultant teams and manage complex project risks
A commercial approach and strong written and verbal communication skills
