Overview We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of industrial painting, blasting, and protective coatings projects across a range of sectors including energy, petrochemical, infrastructure, marine, and industrial manufacturing. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of managing large-scale surface preparation and coating contracts, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage multiple industrial painting and blasting projects from tender handover through to completion.
Ensure strict compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality requirements.
Develop project execution plans, schedules, and resource strategies.
Manage client relationships and act as the primary point of contact throughout project delivery.
Coordinate site teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
Monitor project performance, costs, risks, and programme milestones.
Prepare and present progress reports, forecasts, and commercial updates.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives and promote operational excellence. Requirements
Extensive experience managing industrial painting, blasting, and protective coatings projects.
Strong knowledge of surface preparation standards, coating systems, and inspection requirements.
Proven leadership experience within industrial services, maintenance, shutdowns, or construction environments.
Excellent commercial awareness with experience managing project budgets and contract performance.
Strong communication, stakeholder management, and team leadership skills.
Relevant project management qualification preferred (APM, PRINCE2, PMP, or equivalent).
ICorr, NACE, or related coatings qualifications would be advantageous
