Senior Project Manager
Swindon
Construction - Electrical
Salary Banding: £50,000 to £62,400
Responsible for ownership of large single and multiple smaller, residential or commercial projects from award to completion.
You'll lead a small team of project managers and administration staff, the Senior Project Manager will be a key point of contact and will work closely with the Commercial, Design and Supply Chain departments to ensure our projects are delivered first time, every time against budget and in full.
Candidate Responsibilities:
Deliver completed projects on time, routinely
Work closely with internal and external stakeholders and clients
Define and embed project control and governance
Design and maintain accurate and current programs of work for the projects they deliver
Provide routine updates and reports at an operational and commercial level
Oversee project costs and ensure finances are well-managed
Support the Commercial team with project feedback, recommendations and lessons learned
Deliver projects sustainably in consideration of competence, capability and safety
Conduct audits
Maximise profitability for the business at all times, considering innovative or better practices to deliver project efficiency wherever it is possible to do so
Ensure cross-program dependencies are managed and the dependency log is accurately maintained.
Ensure efficient change control methods and processes are utilised.
Candidate Requirements:
Extensive Project Management experience, particularly within the electrical utility industry
Project Management qualification (e.g. Prince 2, APM, PMI)
SMSTS
Proven track record of effectively managing both projects and employees
Competence in MS Project or equivalent Project Management software
Proficient in the use of Productivity and Collaboration Software such as Microsoft Office, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint etc. across multiple platforms such as smartphones, tablets, laptops etc.
Project reporting, particularly progress against target and budget
Ability to drive and deliver complex, multi-million-pound projects
Full UK driving license (Minimum of 3 Penalty Points)
Emergency first aid at work qualification
Experience working alongside Design teams
Experience working in the electrical industry
Experience working tendering
