Description:
Socode are partnering with a Cambridge-based technology company developing advanced industrial systems used in high-performance manufacturing environments. As their programmes continue to expand, they're looking to bring in a Senior Project Manager to drive delivery across a range of complex product and operational initiatives.
This is a delivery-focused role sitting at the centre of engineering, operations and supply chain. You'll be responsible for coordinating multidisciplinary teams, keeping programmes on track, and ensuring new products transition smoothly into manufacture.
What will you be doing?
Owning delivery of new product programmes from early development through to production release
Coordinating engineering, manufacturing, supply chain and quality teams to maintain alignment and momentum
Building and managing project plans, tracking progress, and ensuring key milestones are met
Applying structured delivery frameworks to keep projects controlled and predictable
Identifying potential risks early and putting plans in place to mitigate them
Acting as the main point of contact for internal stakeholders, providing clear and regular updates
Supporting the move from development into production, including readiness and ramp-up activities
Contributing to improvements in how projects are run, helping strengthen overall delivery capabilityWhat are they looking for?
Experience delivering technically complex projects within an engineering or manufacturing environment
Strong understanding of the full product lifecycle, from development through to production
Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and keep multiple workstreams aligned
Comfortable managing deadlines, budgets and competing priorities
Clear and confident communication style, able to engage both technical teams and senior stakeholders
Structured and organised approach, with a focus on planning and execution
Degree in Engineering, Science or a related technical disciplineNice to have
Experience working with precision engineering systems
Exposure to production scale-up, manufacturing transfer or global supply chains
Familiarity with gated development processes or formal delivery frameworks
