We are looking for a Senior Project Manager will be involved in a number large and/or complex works. They will be responsible for monitoring project progress, following up with stakeholders on the completion or delay of project phases, scheduling meetings and maintaining project documents and reports.
In leading multidisciplinary design teams they will be responsible for managing design team performance as well as that of Contractors in line with various contracts.
They should be able to maintain oversight of all project activities, identify any issues and ensure these are resolved promptly. They will be involved in mentoring and advising junior staff as well as supporting bids for new works

Responsibilities:
To manage, coordinate and prioritise their workload to ensure delivery of service to a high qualitive level for clients and stakeholders in line with agreed programmes/ deadlines,
Co-ordinating and delegating the workload within internal and external teams as required,
Ensuring effective communication with clients and that service provision is of the highest professional
Ensuring the scope of services offered is clear and understood
Monitoring all sub-consultants’ performance and managing payments to them with payment authorisation in accordance with the group delegated authority guide
Supporting the management and preparation of fees and pursuing aged debt when required
Ensuring no work or additional work is undertaken without necessary authorisation from the client and line manager as appropriate,
Monitor and review the actual and forecast resources demands of a service against the actual and forecast fee income to ensure that works remain profitable with an agreed cashflow profile,
Preparing proposed capital and expense budget requirements for the year plan
Supporting the preparation of bids for new and/or repeat works
Delivering plans for projects on time and within budget and monitoring subsequent performance,
Implementing and monitoring relevant project control and administration systems in accordance with the business management system
Supporting the line manager in reviewing the job costing system for assessment of project performance
Understanding and achieving line manager delivery expectations
Ensuring that Currie & Brown policies are understood, implemented and adhered to,
Completing project reporting as dictated by the group management information system,
Co-ordinating update of project schedules,
Reporting project progress and risks to client and management,
Preparing site assessments, due diligence reports, cost reports, project control group reports, construction reports and completion reports,
Managing design development, co-ordination, reviews and approvals during planning and construction phases,
Holding regular review meetings with contractors to assess work quality, progress, cost, schedule, safety, health and environmental matters,
Following and fully complying with the client’s end-to-end project management process,
Preparing project scope, tender,
Supervising contractors in scheduling and monitoring project work and inspection upon completion
Verifying design team and/or Contractor invoices as required for a project
Preparing monthly project review report for discussion
Co-ordinating and monitoring projects to ensure approvals, license and consents are obtained in a timely manner

Qualifications
Essential
An undergraduate degree (Level 6) in a construction related discipline.
Chartered membership of a relevant institution (ICE, RICS, RIBA or equivalent by demonstration).
NEC 3 & 4 Project Manager Accreditation or Module 2 of the ICE Law and Contract Management Examination or registered and/or working towards the qualification desirable
Master Degree (Level 7) in a construction related discipline.
Membership of APM.
IOSH managing safely in Construction

Experience
Passionate about project management and furthering your career with a leading construction consultancy
Good technical writing skills and knowledge of reading drawings and tender documents, etc
Good client-facing and communication skills, ability to build long-term relationships
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Proficient in both spoken and written English
High proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Well-organised, diligent, proactive, assertive, self-starting, well-disciplined and commercially astute

Essential
Significant post-graduate experience including previous experience in a related industry sector with experience in the management of projects which included Design.
Experience of delivering Project Management Services on projects with a construction Value of more than £5 million.
Experience of delivering numerous projects for a variety of client/s stakeholders across various sites.
Demonstrates ability to implement and meet targets.
Supervision of internal staff teams

Desirable
Delivery of Projects for Public Sector Clients,
Lead and ICT in Design & Build works with an IST,
Commitment to Continual Professional Development,
Experience of Project Management/ CDE/ BIM software platforms
