Senior Project Manager (Shirebrook, UK)

They are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join their Delivery team within the International team. They need innovative thinkers who are passionate about using technology to address real-world problems and designing the next generation of world-class installations.

As a Project Manager, you will utilize your technical and commercial acumen as you assume full responsibility for project success - from business winning (contract negotiation) to implementation and final handover (project delivery). You effectively coordinate, manage and allocate resources and ensure open and continuous dialogue with our customers.

What you're going to do:

The International business unit is focused on providing a local and dependable partner for customers' whole material handling equipment solution, to respond quickly and efficiently to their operational and evolutionary needs.

You will take managerial responsibility for project delivery as well as (where required) providing expert input and support to the winning business teams on forthcoming projects.

You will assume full commercial and contractual responsibility for our major projects delivery, with strong collaboration with the Project Engineering Team, who are responsible for system requirements, specifications and design.

Main tasks:

Lead and manage projects and coordinate work in the UK and with teams around the globe. Motivate and monitor internal and/or external resources to accomplish all tasks and milestones
Close collaboration and management of project team including close liaison with Project Engineering Manager and Project Planner to ensure the project is deliver to the highest quality for our customers whilst maintaining the cost, schedule and specification objectives of the projects
Take responsibility for ensuring that relevant Stage gate checklists & reports are completed. Prepare regular updates/reports for the project steering committee and product line / business unit management
Pro-actively manage all project critical paths to ensure that these are constantly tracked to minimize any slippages
Work with relevant functions (supply chain, manufacturing, product management, production engineering, service, etc.) to ensure that the priorities are understood and that capabilities exist across all relevant functions to deliver on time
Ensure transparency around project change requests, unforeseen results/events, identified Risks, and ensure that they are properly managed and communicated. Ensure that all opportunities are captured and acted upon
Serve as the key contact for stakeholders, and an escalation point for program/project issues. Effectively communicate appropriate information to stakeholders in a timely manner and to achieve desired understanding and support
Demonstrate a working knowledge of the mechanical / electrical and controls aspects and technologies used within the automation environment.
Guarantee the success of the project in line with the client's expectations and the vision, mission and values of the company.
Operate consistently with the defined policies, processes and rules (BMS), promoting and enabling the achievement of the Company's improvement objectives.

Have profound & demonstrable experience with leading large, complex international projects, taking full delivery responsibility including delivering to schedule, to budget and to the highest standards for our customers.
presentations and run meetings efficiently
Substantial international project delivery experience in automation domains
Be commercially and financially astute combined with a detailed technical shrewdness
The ability to create, modify and interrogate project schedules in MS project
Have obtained APMP or other internationally recognized Project Management qualifications How to apply:
