Senior Project Manager

We Build Recruitment are on the lookout for a senior project manager based anywhere in England or Wales to work on a number of power/utilities projects.

Due to recent promotions within the business and sustained and continued growth, they’re currently looking for a senior project manager to join.

Projects can be anywhere in England or Wales and it’s expected you’ll travel to your site 1-2 times a week whilst the remainder of your time can be spent working remotely from home.

The package for this role alongside being able to work remotely includes a salary up to £75,000 with a £5,000 car allowance OR a company vehicle with a fuel card alongside it too.

Job Role for the project manager:

* Projects will heavily lean towards substations and a lot of the work will switch between 66KV and 132KV. They do also work on 33KV projects but these tend to be handled by a separate team.

* On the days when you’re not on site, you’ll be able to work remotely/from home.

* You’ll be managing the project from the time the civils team hands over to you until project completion. Including the planning of your work and monitoring the cost control.

* Lead client meetings and walk them round site when necessary.

* Assist with the management of labour on site as well as the materials.

* Produce risk assessments and method statements and other HSE documentation alongside the HSE team.

* Advise the estimation team wherever necessary.

Skills and Qualifications:

* CSCS (Black)

* SMSTS

* Relevant qualifications either from a project management background or an electrical background

* Ideally you’d come from an electrical background and since become a senior project manager. However you would still be considered should you have been a project manager on similar projects already without an electrical background.
