SALARY: £25,000 - £30,000 (depending on experience)

We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Procurement Specialist at XMA’s office in Nottingham.  As the Senior Procurement Specialist you will be responsible for building proactive relationships with Tier 1 suppliers, contributing to Procurement’s Supplier Relationship Management. Ensure On-Time, In-Full deliveries wherever possible, excellent Customer Experience when issues arise as well as plus deliver bottom-line savings where negotiation is available.

Job Specification: Senior Procurement Specialist

The responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Processing accurate and compliant order requests within SLA’s whilst ensuring that the approvals matrix process is adhered to and goods/services are procured via the most economically advantageous way, taking into consideration cost/bid price, rebate contribution and fulfilment rate.
Accurately approve Team PO’s in accordance with PO Approvals matrix, ensuring sufficient information is provided to senior approvers for high value PO’s.
Actioning of procurement/purchase ledger queries within SLA’s, ensuring all queries are addressed comprehensively whilst taking accountability and prioritising invoice queries to meet HMRC payment practices and maintain good credit.
Ensure Procurement Specialists are on top of Web orders, and NS Exceptions reporting is completed daily, and any issues are highlighted to Management.
Lead knowledge share across team regarding buying intricacies and best practice, building a strong working knowledge of all buying lines.
Manage day-to-day Supplier relations, coordinating with the team where required, being first point of Procurement escalation for the business.
Take accountability to manage the supply chain from a stock perspective, including but not limited to:
-         Management (including actioning) warehouse stock discrepancies, such as: over shipments, short shipments, damaged goods, PO queries.

-         Supporting Customer Services with out of terms returns.

-         Working collaboratively with supply chain (and brokers) to manage unwanted stock, ensuring stock is move in the most cost-effective way.

Requirements: Senior Procurement Specialist

We are looking for someone with experience in a Procurement or stock management role, experience of team and / or Supplier relationship leadership, experience of working in a fast-paced environment processing high value / high volume of orders and previous experience of a commercial procurement team including working towards team objectives and targets.
