£500.00 - £550.00 P/day

Temporary, Full Time (9-12 months)

Remote (Occasional travel to site on Isle of Wight)

Senior Procurement Officer required to join a public sector organisation on a full time temporary basis. My client is looking for an ambitious and highly motivated individual who is an experienced Senior Procurement Officer to join their dynamic and fast moving finance function.

As the Senior Procurement Officer you will help to ensure that the organisation achieves value for money in all areas of supplier spends, alongside the various duties below;

Key responsibilities of the Senior Procurement Officer

responsible for the complete end-to-end procurement cycle
management of external procurement consultants and associated experts e.g. financial, legal and technical support for the first phase of developing the procurement strategy
Stakeholder engagement and liaison Project Management Informing Options Appraisals Using e-tendering software (pro-contract etc)
Ensure that the procurement process is fully compliant with the Council's Contract Standing Orders, UK legislative requirements
Ensuring work undertaken delivers best valueRequired skills and experience of the Senior Procurement Officer

MCIPS Qualified
Extensive experience with the public sector procurement regulations
end-to-end procurement process experience specifically within multi million pound projects, ideally within the construction / marine / infrastructure sectors
Substantial experience utilising e-tendering software throughout the procurement process
Confident with Microsoft 365 and associated apps including specific skill with Excel.
Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
High level of organisational skills
High level of analytical skills
