Description:
Alexander Steele Recruitment is working in partnership with a leading food manufacturer based in East Riding, Yorkshire supplying to major retailers. Due to a period of exciting growth, they are looking to appoint a Senior Process Technologist to oversee and collaborate with wider teams on new factory trials.
On offer:
* Salary is £40,000 - £45,000
* 25 days holiday

* 40 hours, Mon - Fri
The role:
Reporting to the Site Development Manager, you will assume full responsibility for conducting factory trials of new and EPD lines by working collaboratively with the wider site teams, using your product expertise to ensure the control and correct recording and issuing of trial reports & data as well as final product specifications and care cards.
You will be responsible for the implementation of site process control points and will ensure RFT introduction of new formulations, products, raw materials, equipment and processes, identifying any opportunities for improvement with existing products and processes.
The key responsibilities of the role include:
* Oversee the full product trial process including running, reporting and testing
* Undertake regular process audits to ensure smooth running of trials
* Ensure all necessary paperwork is kept up to date as required
* Promote process improvement internally to improve efficiency
* Maintain strong relationships with all departments
* Adhere to GMP standards at all times and highlight potential issues as required
* Assist with training and development of staff to strive for continuous improvement
Candidate requirements:
* The business is looking for an individual with experience in a similar role within a food manufacturing environment.
* Excellent attention to detail
* Awareness of health and safety guidelines
* Able to work under pressure and to specific deadlines
* Proficient in GMP and HACCP knowledge
* Understand technical and operating standards
