My client is a large and nationally recognised financial services business who are known for being one of the UK's 'great places to work', having won multiple awards. They are headquartered in the West Midlands and offer up to 80% home working.
The Role
The Senior Pricing Developer will join a supportive and inclusive team who are responsible for setting up fair and accurate prices across the entire General Insurance product range. You will be part of a cutting-edge hub of in-house expertise that's right at the heart of the customer proposition.
Key Responsibilities
Design and development of algorithms to support pricing activity and the subsequent deployment to 'live' production environments.
Directly involved in innovative projects, where you will be setting technical direction and representing the Pricing department in programme meetings, directly influencing senior stakeholders across the business to achieve high-quality technical integration with the wider programme.
Work as a coach and mentor for junior members of the team and wider department.
About You
Proven coding skills as well as experience working within a Pricing, Data or IT function.
You will preferably have experience using Radar or extensive experience in model development using Python, Earnix, or R, paired with a good working knowledge of the insurance industry.
Evidence of building and maintaining effective stakeholder relationships.
A collaborative approach and superb interpersonal skills.
Experience working as a technical expert on fast-moving projects.
The ability to convey technical information to non-technical audiences and influence stakeholder decisions.
It would be advantageous if you have experience working in Agile project environments and have the ability to lead, encourage and motivate others.
