Description:

Are you an experienced Social Worker looking to take the next step in your career within Adult Mental Health? Hackney Council is seeking an accomplished Senior Practitioner to join its integrated Mental Health Service, working alongside East London NHS Foundation Trust in a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary environment.

As a Senior Practitioner, you'll provide professional leadership, supervision and support to Social Workers while maintaining a small complex caseload. You'll play a key role in driving high standards of practice, safeguarding adults, quality assurance, and the delivery of strengths-based, person-centred interventions that achieve the best outcomes for Hackney residents.

Key Responsibilities

Provide day-to-day leadership, supervision and performance management to Social Workers.
Support the allocation and oversight of complex adult mental health cases.
Complete and oversee complex assessments, reviews and care planning.
Lead on safeguarding enquiries, investigations and Best Interest Meetings where appropriate.
Promote strengths-based practice, personalisation and self-directed support.
Work collaboratively with health colleagues and partner agencies within integrated services.
Support quality assurance, practice development and service improvement initiatives.
Deputise for the Team Manager when required.About You

To be successful, you will have:

Qualified Social Worker status (DipSW, CQSW or Social Work Degree).
Current Social Work England registration.
Significant post-qualified experience within Adult Mental Health services.
Strong working knowledge of the Care Act, Mental Health Act, Mental Capacity Act and Adult Safeguarding legislation.
Experience supervising and supporting Social Workers.
Excellent assessment, report writing and decision-making skills.
Ability to work effectively within multi-disciplinary teams and integrated health and social care settings.
AMHP qualification and willingness to participate in the borough-wide AMHP rota.Why Join Hackney?
