Senior Plant Technician / Senior Authorised Person (SAP) – Energy from Waste
£64,000 – £67,000 + benefits | 40 hours |Days and Shifts available | Allington, Kent
Are you an experienced Senior Plant Technician / DCS Operator with SAP authorisation and experience in Energy from Waste, power generation or process plant?
We are looking for an experienced Technician to support the safe and efficient operation of a major Energy from Waste facility.
Key Responsibilities
* Operate and monitor plant via the DCS.
* Operate boilers, turbines, pumps and associated plant.
* Carry out start-ups, shutdowns, isolations and return-to-service activities.
* Act as Senior Authorised Person (SAP).
* Support maintenance activities and coordinate contractors.
* Respond to plant abnormalities and emergencies.
* Maintain high standards of health, safety and environmental compliance.
The successful candidate:
* Experience in EfW, power generation, process or heavy industrial plant.
* DCS experience – essential.
* SAP authorisation/experience – essential.
* Experience with boilers and rotating plant.
* Strong safety, leadership and problem-solving skills.
* Experience with Safe Systems of Work and risk assessments.
NEBOSH/IOSH desirable.
