Role: Senior Planner

Employment Type: Permanent

Location: Exeter, covering the South West Water region

We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Planner to join our client, a market leader in the water industry, for a role covering the South West Water framework. This position will focus on planning and scheduling for water treatment projects and pumping stations, ensuring the successful delivery of these critical infrastructure projects.

As a key member of the planning team, you will be responsible for developing and managing project schedules, ensuring they meet project specifications and industry standards.

Responsibilities:

Developing and managing detailed project schedules for water treatment projects and pumping stations, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
Collaborating with project teams, clients, and other stakeholders to understand and define project requirements.
Preparing and reviewing project plans and schedules, including resource allocation and timeline estimations.
Conducting schedule reviews and ensuring that project timelines meet all safety, quality, and performance standards.
Managing the timely delivery of project schedules and ensuring effective communication with the project team.
Supporting the procurement of resources and materials, ensuring specifications and timelines are met.
Providing technical support during project execution, including troubleshooting and resolving scheduling-related issues.
Monitoring and ensuring compliance with planning and scheduling regulations and standards.
Mentoring and providing guidance to junior planners, promoting continuous improvement and professional development within the team.Requirements:

Proven experience in planning and scheduling for water treatment projects and pumping stations.
Extensive knowledge of planning and scheduling processes and methodologies.
Strong technical and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
Strong understanding of Primavera P6
Working knowledge of CDM and construction Health & Safety regulations.
Previous experience in water and wastewater treatment plants and pumping stations.
