Senior Planner

Description:

We have a fantastic opportunity to join an industry specialist as they begin a new 5-year framework in the region. Our client has recently secured framework status for AMP8 in the Water sector, and requires a Senior Planner to create, monitor and amend programmes of work using P6. Reporting to the Senior Planning Manager, you will work independently you will provide programme plans that have challenging but achievable timescales.

We will also consider applications from Planners

As a Senior Planner you will:

* Make sure that the project management team are able to control progress by identifying and producing programmes of work (from design, procurement through to construction and commissioning).

* Be responsible for producing baseline programmes and regularly updating them

* Minimise our clients risk by identifying the critical path

* Produce look-ahead programmes

* Advise the Project Manager of NEC contractual obligations

* Attend progress meetings

* Control the procurement process by producing material and equipment schedules

Our client is looking for a Senior Planner with:

* Planning experience in a Civil Engineering/Construction environment using Primavera P6 planning software.

* Understanding of NEC contracts

* HND/Degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering discipline (preferred but not essential)

* Up to £70,000 per annum
