Senior Planner

Our client is looking for a Senior Planner for a 6-12 month contract position, located in Aberdeen (Hybrid Working)

RESPONSIBILITIES

Set-up and manage the overall multidisciplinary scheduling process in line with all external but also the internal requirements.
Since our scopes are large, complex, and multi-disciplinary, you will never have full information to base your schedule on. Therefore, you need to pro-actively chase missing information. Make sure you get the input from every specialist involved and get their expert judgment in time.
You use your overview of the entire contract schedule, and everything involved, to think a few steps ahead and dry run scenarios: If we do X, what does this mean for Y? You pro-actively share and discuss any solid advice which you can conclude from these insights, with the relevant stakeholders.
Having this position in the project team enables you to bring guidance to the project team in determining what needs to happen to keep the project on the critical path or how to bring it back on.
You keep a log to ensure that others will immediately understand the changes and assumptions made to develop the schedule.

REQUIREMENTS:

Sound experience and a working knowledge as a Project Planner in the Oil and Gas industry, including knowledge of terminology used.
A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (desirable)
Solid communication and presentation skills.
Strong analytical skills and a talent for asking the right questions.
A good command of written and spoken English.
Experienced in the use of current Planning and Scheduling software packages, specifically Primavera P6, MSProject and Excel
