Description:
We’re working with one of the UK’s leading Tier 1 contracting groups, with an established reputation for delivering some of the country’s most high-profile and complex infrastructure schemes. Having recently secured a long-term framework to deliver and maintain critical clean and wastewater infrastructure across South Wales, they have a strong and secure pipeline of work, with significant project opportunities forecast for at least the next five years.
We're working with a leading Tier 1 contractor, partnering on a long-term water infrastructure framework with a secure pipeline of work in the region for the next 5 years.
Take ownership of planning across multiple call-off contracts on a major water framework. Reporting to the Planning Manager, you'll set the planning standard, guide project teams on programme strategy, and support and mentor the planners.
What you'll do
* Lead programme development and control across multiple call-offs, from tender through delivery
* Own NEC3 programme management, including submissions, acceptance and revisions
* Lead time-impact assessments and programme input to Compensation Events
* Run critical path, risk and resource analysis, and advise delivery teams on recovery options
* Produce clear programme reporting for project and senior stakeholders
* Coach and review the work of Planners, and set consistent planning procedures and templates
* Work with commercial teams to align programme, cost and change
What you'll bring
* Extensive planning experience in water, utilities or infrastructure, including a senior or lead role
* Expert-level Primavera P6 (or Asta Powerproject)
* Strong NEC3 knowledge, including programme requirements and delay analysis
* Experience of schedule risk analysis and resource-loaded programmes
* Strong stakeholder management and the confidence to advise and challenge
* Experience mentoring or leading planners
Desirable
* Framework or Design & Build experience
* Power BI or dashboard reporting experience
* Degree or recognised planning qualification (e.g. APM)
