Alder Hey Children’s NHS Foundation Trust are currently seeking organised and motivated candidates to fulfil Senior Physiotherapist opportunities within the team at Alder Hey Hospital under a long-term placement contract. Role Details:
This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, experienced, and motivated physiotherapist to work alongside our well-established, experienced respiratory physiotherapy team who will provide ongoing support and guidance. Experience in paediatric respiratory care is essential.
The role will be training parents, family members, carers and health care professionals on respiratory management plans (chest physiotherapy techniques, positioning and suction), and developing an online training programme with established training materials with support and guidance from the team.
The job will also be assessing and treating respiratory inpatients and outpatients including recurrent chest infections, patients with long term conditions such as cystic fibrosis/bronchiectasis and patients with multiple and complex care needs e.g. cerebral palsy. The post holder will also have responsibility for a therapy student.
The Successful Candidate Will:
* Hold a Degree in Physiotherapy or equivalent
* Be HCPC registered
* Have previous NHS experience
* They must have excellent communication skills to allow them to respectfully assess and treat patients with complex cancel and palliative care needs
* Must gave Paediatric medical respiratory experience
* Practice in accordance with the professional, ethical, and legal codes of the Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC), and Trust and NHS protocols and guidelines
