- Job Title: Senior PHP Developer
- Location: UK Remote
- Industry: SaaS
- Salary: £70k DOE

They’re searching for an Senior PHP Developer who will write both legacy code and newer Laravel code, with an accent on producing deliverables and no management responsibilities.

You’ll need to be strong with MySQL, as you’ll be writing raw queries and interacting with databases.

The majority of your work will be backend focused (APIs, third party integrations, payments, product admin pages etc)

Key Responsibilities

- Design, extend, and optimise APIs for seamless application development.
- Innovate by developing new features and APIs using Laravel.
- Refine and upgrade our bespoke PHP legacy codebase.
- Craft and execute unit tests to maintain software quality.
- Enhance platform performance to support growth in scale.
- Facilitate integration with third-party services such as EPOS systems, payment gateways, and delivery providers.
- Lead code reviews and maintain high standards in development.
- Provide mentorship to emerging developers and contribute to their growth.
- Strategize and implement complex software projects effectively.

Requirements

- Extensive experience as a PHP Developer (over 5 years)
- Extensive experience with Laravel or Symfony frameworks.
- Strong proficiency in MySQL, JavaScript, HTML, CSS.
- Familiarity with GIT version control, unit testing, and TDD environments.
- Ability to write and consume REST APIs effectively.
- Excellent communication skills.
