About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Senior Operative to support the day-to-day running of a busy production and fulfilment operation. This is a hands-on position where you will work closely with the Shop Floor Manager to ensure operational targets are achieved, quality standards are maintained, and customer orders are dispatched accurately and on time.
The successful candidate will lead by example on the shop floor, helping to coordinate workloads, monitor progress against deadlines, and provide practical support where required.

Key Responsibilities

•    Support the Shop Floor Manager in overseeing daily operational activities.
•    Ensure tasks are completed efficiently and within agreed timeframes.
•    Monitor workflow and prioritise workloads to meet customer deadlines.
•    Carry out final quality checks on orders before dispatch.
•    Maintain high standards of accuracy and attention to detail at all times.
•    Assist with troubleshooting and resolving production or product issues.

•    Identify opportunities to improve processes, productivity, and quality.
•    Support and guide team members to ensure standards are consistently met.
•    Maintain a safe, organised, and efficient working environment.
•    Communicate operational updates and escalate issues where necessary.

Essential Requirements

•    Previous experience in a senior operative, team leader, supervisory, or similar operational role.
•    Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
•    Ability to manage multiple priorities and work to strict deadlines.
•    Hands-on approach with the ability to assist in product repairs and problem-solving.
•    Excellent organisational and communication skills.
•    Reliable, proactive, and able to work independently when required.
•    Full UK driving licence and access to transport due to the location of the site.

What’s On Offer

•    Full-time, permanent position.
•    Opportunity to play a key role in a growing and fast-paced business.
•    Supportive team environment with opportunities for development and progression.

If you are a highly organised, detail-focused individual who enjoys taking ownership of operational performance and leading from the front, we'd love to hear from you
