We are seeking a Senior Network Design Engineer to support the delivery of secure telecoms, operational technology and SCADA networks across major rail projects.

You will help turn concepts and high-level designs into practical, deliverable solutions. This is a hands-on technical role, not a team leadership position.

Key Responsibilities

Design and review network architectures, IP addressing, subnetting, and configurations
Deliver solutions for CCTV, Voice, SISS, SCADA and backbone communications networks.
Develop secure operational data networks and cyber security solutions.
Produce technical documentation and test specifications.
Support integration, testing and onsite implementation activities.
Gather client requirements and contribute to technical proposals.
Ensure designs meet rail industry safety, security and quality standards.Essential Experience

Railway Communications network experience
Degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
Cisco CCNP level knowledge or equivalent experience.
LAN/WAN and industrial network design.
Network security, firewalls, DMZs and IPSEC.
SCADA and Operational Technology (OT) environments.
Juniper networking technologies.
Hirschmann industrial networking products.
Systems Engineering Life-cycle knowledge.
Rail and signalling experience.
DDaT Configuration Checker.Desirable

Chartered Engineer or IRSE Licence.
Software Defined Networking (SDN).
Next Generation Firewalls.
