Senior Metalwork Supervisor
Salary: Negotiable depending on experience
Location: Basildon, Essex
Hours: Mon-Fri, 8.00am - 5.00pm
An established architectural metalwork specialist in Basildon is seeking a Senior Metalwork Supervisor to lead daily workshop operations and deliver high-quality bespoke fabrication projects.
Duties:
Lead daily workshop operations, managing workflow, labor, and timelines.
Interpret technical drawings and solve fabrication/assembly challenges.
Oversee standards to ensure components meet strict architectural specifications.
Mentor and supervise skilled fabricators and welders.
Enforce H&S standards while liaising with Design and Production teams.Key Requirements
Proven supervisory experience in bespoke, architectural, or high-end metalwork.
Strong knowledge of sheet metal, structural fabrication, MIG/TIG welding, forming, and finishing.
Advanced capability to read complex engineering drawings.
Familiarity with workshop machinery (brake press, guillotine) and metals such as mild/stainless steel, brass, and bronze.Benefits & Package
