Senior Mechanical Engineer - Stress
£35 - £45 ph inside IR35
12 - 18 months initially

A global leader in creating innovative solutions that improve quality of life and drive sustainable development are seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer specializing in Stress Analysis.
You will be responsible for stress, vibration, and heat transfer analyses.
Key Accountabilities - Senior Mechanical Engineer
+ Perform stress analysis using complex finite element & classical book calculation methods, & support testing
+ Perform heat transfer analysis in practice and theory (analytical correlations and complex finite element methods) and related topics in thermodynamics, single and multi-phase flows, and energy systems
+ Provide technical oversight to global engineering teams across time zones
+ Provide technical guidance to junior engineers
Skills and knowledge required - Senior Mechanical Engineer
+ Bachelor's degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering or closely related field with emphasis in heat transfer or thermal sciences & stress analysis
+ Proficiency in linear static, nonlinear/elasto-plastic, fatigue (HCF & LCF), modal, shock, harmonic, random vibration, & crack growth analyses
+ Strong working knowledge of ANSYS finite element software & classical hand calculation methods
+ Ability to analyse and solve complex and challenging problems.
+ Effectively operate in a matrix organization
