As a Senior Mechanical Engineer (Motors), you will play a crucial role in advancing our motor mechanical designs and ensuring the highest level of quality and performance across our products.

Responsibilities:

Independent Engineering Judgment:

Demonstrating exceptional engineering judgment and decision-making skills to drive the success of projects and initiatives.Task Versatility:

Working across a diverse range of tasks, including shock qualification, collation of information, and gathering evidence to support complex mechanical designs.Collaboration:

Working closely with cross-functional teams to integrate mechanical solutions seamlessly into our product development process.Innovative Problem-Solving:

Identifying challenges and developing innovative solutions to overcome obstacles and optimize mechanical performance.Continuous Improvement:

Contributing to the continuous improvement of engineering processes, methodologies, and best practices within the organization.

Experience needed:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
Strong proficiency in independent engineering judgment and decision-making.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with shifting priorities and deadlines.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively interact with cross-functional teams.
Ability to perform shock/vibration analysis and hand calculations to support Engineering Lead and the ability to gather and analyse data to support complex mechanical designs.

Desirable:

Experience in the Defence / Aerospace or safety regulated environment would be advantageous
Experience in the Naval / Maritime domain would be advantageous.
Experience of complex mechanical engineering design, for example rotating machinery, engine or transmission components.
Experience of using CAD design software, drafting, and tolerancing. For example Creo, Catia, or Solidworks.
