Senior Mechanical Engineer
* Work across a range of diverse projects supporting with activities linked to Failure Analysis.
* Opportunity to lead a small team of Technicians, whilst remaining practical from an engineering perspective.
* Excellent facilities and testing capabilities within an engineering laboratory.
Are you a Senior Mechanical Engineer who enjoys variety, and solving engineering challenges? This is very much a practical based engineering role, finding resolutions to complex challenges. The position involves technical analysis, such as root cause / failure, and working within a laboratory environment due to the products applications.
Senior Mechanical Engineer Salary & Package:
* c£55,000 per annum depending on experience. Possible flexibility around this for the right person.
* 25 days holiday + Bank Holidays with scope to purchase additional days.
* Some hybrid working.
* 8% employer pension.
* Healthcare and life insurance policies.
This Principal Mechanical Engineer job will suit:
* A Senior Mechanical Engineer who is practically minded, with good communication skills, and has proven failure analysis experience.
* Hold a relevant engineering qualification. Degree educated or above.
* An understanding of tribology and products such as bearings / mechanisms would be useful, but not essential.
* Metallurgical laboratory experience, knowledge / experience of root cause analysis.
* Flexible approach in nature, enjoy problem solving to overcome engineering challenges.
The Senior Mechanical Engineer job will involve:
* Acting as the lead / senior Engineer on projects relating to tribology.
* Performing mechanical failure/root cause analysis of mechanical systems.
* Problem solving to find solutions to associated engineering challenges.
* Produce written reports and be able to formally present project findings to customers.
