Our client, a market leader within Defence is looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join their dynamic team.
As a Senior Mechanical Engineer (Motors), you will play a vital position in advancing motor mechanical designs, ensuring a high level of quality and performace across products.
Key Responsibilites:
* Provide excelletn engineering judgement and decision-making skills to drive the success of projects and inititatives.
* Shock qualification, collation of information, and gathering evidence to support complex mechanical designs.
* Working closely with cross-functional teams to integrate mechanical solutions seamlessly into our product development process.
* Identify challenges and develop innovative solutions to overcome obstacles and optimise mechanical performance.
* Contribute to the continuous improvement of engineering processes, methodologies, and best practices within the organisation.
Requirements:
* Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related subject.
* Proficiency in independent engineering judgment and decision making.
* Able to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment.
* Communication and collaboration skills.
* Ability to work within a team.
* Ability to perform shock/vibration analysis and hand calculations to support the Engineering Lead and the ability to gather and analyse data to support complex mechanical designs.
Desirable:
* Experience of complex mechanical design such as rotating machinery, engine or transmission components.
* CAD design software, drafting and tolerancing experience.
