We're working with a well-established aerospace engineering organisation looking to add a Senior Mechanical Engineer to their team. This Senior Mechanical Engineer role offers the opportunity to join a company known for developing advanced avionics products and engine sensing technologies for the aerospace sector. You'll be joining a collaborative engineering environment where innovation, quality and continuous improvement are at the heart of everything they do.
As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you'll work across the full product development lifecycle, taking ownership of design activities while supporting colleagues and driving engineering excellence.
Role and Responsibilities
As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, your key responsibilities will include:
Managing requirements, demonstrating compliance and supporting verification activities
Supporting Mechanical Engineers across cross-functional engineering projects
Designing and developing avionics products and engine sensors throughout the product lifecycle
Producing work estimates and supporting project planning activities

Key Requirements
To be considered for this Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will need:
Ability to obtain and maintain any security clearances required for the role
UK National status is required due to project and security restrictions
Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Design Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or similar, or equivalent experience
Experience authoring, validating and verifying engineering requirements
Previous experience leading or mentoring Mechanical Engineers
Strong 3D CAD and 2D draughting experience, ideally using SolidWorks or Autodesk Inventor
Experience with GD&T, Design FMEA and engineering change management

Salary: £55K - £65K
Working arrangements: Site-based position with potential for one day per week working from home when work permits. 8am until 4:30pm Mon to Thurs and 8am until 1pm on Friday
25 days holiday plus Bank Holidays, with the option to buy and sell up to 5 days
