Salary: Up to £65,000 + benefits

My client is a global engineering consultancy, renowned for delivering innovative and sustainable solutions across various sectors. Their expertise spans commercial, residential, and hospitality projects, with significant portfolios in both the UK and the Middle East.

Projects:
In the UK, their notable projects include the award-winning Shard, the vibrant One Blackfriars, and the luxurious Bulgari Hotel in London.
In the Middle East, they have been instrumental in delivering the striking Al Habtoor City complex in Dubai and the prestigious Jeddah Tower in Saudi Arabia. Our commitment to excellence and innovation is reflected in every project we undertake.

Role Overview:
They are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join their growing team in London. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the design and delivery of mechanical systems for a variety of high-profile projects.

Responsibilities:
* Lead the mechanical design process for commercial, residential, and hotel projects from concept through to completion.
* Collaborate with architects, structural engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure integrated and sustainable design solutions.
* Prepare detailed mechanical engineering designs, calculations, and specifications.
* Oversee the preparation of technical drawings and documentation.
* Conduct site inspections and provide technical support during the construction phase.
* Mentor and provide guidance to junior engineers within the team.
* Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
* Participate in project meetings and present design solutions to clients and stakeholders.
* Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively.

Qualifications and Experience:
* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
* Minimum of 6 years of experience in mechanical design engineering, preferably within an engineering consultancy.
* Proven track record of leading mechanical design on large-scale commercial, residential, and hotel projects.
* Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, Hevacomp, IES VE and relevant calculation tools.
* Strong understanding of UK building regulations and industry standards.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
