My client is a global firm of designers, engineers, planners, and consultants, operating in over 35 countries across six continents. They offer a broad range of professional services with a focus on innovation and sustainable design solutions. Their work encompasses iconic projects in various sectors including infrastructure, buildings, transportation, and energy. They are looking for a Senior / Principal Mechanical Design Engineer to add to their experienced team in Birmingham.
Roles and Responsibilities:
As a Principal Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for:
1. Leading and managing mechanical design projects from conception to completion.
2. Providing technical expertise and guidance to junior engineers and design teams.
3. Developing innovative and sustainable mechanical design solutions.
4. Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated design solutions.
5. Conducting feasibility studies, technical reviews, and risk assessments.
6. Liaising with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met.
7. Ensuring compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
