Client Overview
Our client is hiring for growth purposes, following their continued good work as a reputable design and manufacturing organisation. The role of Senior Design Engineer is a crucial part of the engineering function; this opening has a fair amount of scope due to their being several areas within the business that could benefit from an experienced Design Engineer joining the team.
Job Responsibilities
* Responsible for both conceptual and bespoke re-designs
* Compiling parts lists and maintaining drawing records, following technical office procedures
* Handling several projects simultaneously and supporting the design function on larger group projects
* Occasional site visits with customers both new and old across the UK and overseas
* Liaising with suppliers
Skill Required
* Mechanical Engineering Degree (BEng or Meng)
* Full product life cycle design experience (ideally over 7 years in industry)
* Industry experience within machinery design (conveyors, bearing, mechanisms etc)
* Full UK Manual or Automatic Licence
