About the are a growing, well-established building services consultancy based in Essex, known for our friendly, supportive, and close-knit team environment. As a smaller organisation, we pride ourselves on our "family feel" culture-where collaboration, trust, and mutual respect are at the heart of everything we do.Due to continued growth and a strong project pipeline, we are now looking for a talented Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team.
The RoleAs a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality mechanical building services designs across a variety of sectors, including commercial, residential, and mixed-use developments.You will lead projects from concept through to completion, working closely with clients, architects, and internal stakeholders.Key Responsibilities

Lead the design and specification of mechanical building services systems (HVAC, public health, etc.)
Manage projects from feasibility and concept design through to detailed design and handover
Produce and review technical drawings, specifications, and calculations
Attend client meetings and provide expert technical advice
Mentor and support junior engineers within the team
Coordinate with other disciplines (electrical, structural, architectural)
Ensure compliance with relevant UK standards and regulations (CIBSE, Building Regulations, etc.)
Contribute to innovative and sustainable design solutionsAbout You

Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Engineering (or equivalent)
Minimum 5+ years' experience in a building services consultancy environment
Strong knowledge of mechanical design standards and best practices
Experience using industry software (e.g. Hevacomp, IES, Revit, AutoCAD)
Ideally working towards or already Chartered (CIBSE/IMechE)
Excellent communication and client-facing skills
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectivelyWhat We Offer
