The company
My client are a highly regarded, growing business with interests across a wide range of food and agricultural businesses. Based in the East Riding of Yorkshire, the company manufactures and supplies premium quality products to an extensive list of key customers including major retailers.
The role
We seek to recruit a Senior Meat Technologist to join the fast-paced Supply Chain Team from their offices in East Yorkshire.
Reporting to the Group Supplier Assurance Controller, you will Liaise with 1000’s of suppliers.
Obtain, review and approve raw material specifications ensuring that they have been approved in line with the company’s supplier approval procedure and customer requirements.
Ensure monthly summaries of non-conformances, whilst ensuring accuracy across all technical reports and publish within set timescales.
Maintaining key relationships with suppliers as well as internal teams such as purchasing, NPD (New Product Development) and Technical.
The person
Our ideal candidate will ideally have experience in the meat industry or in an abattoir.
You must be computer literate with experience of cloud-based systems and Microsoft Applications.
Have excellent communication skills as group technical deal with customers, suppliers, auditors and various departments.
Be able to work in small team and individually.
You will be organised with good time-management skills, as they will be dealing with various queries from customers and sites across the group.
You must hold a full current driving licence, have access to a car and be willing to travel
