Description:

Due to new product development and launch, an innovative manufacturer has a vacancy for a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to join the team. Candidates are sought with previous experience working in a complex manufacturing environment and you will be responsible for the industrialisation and successful launch of the new product and the production subsequent improvement and development.

Commutable from: Torquay, Newton Abbott, Plymouth, Paignton, Exeter.

Salary: £ 40,000 - £ 55,000 p.a. + benefits

Suitable for: Manufacturing Engineer, Senior Manufacturing Engineer, NPI Engineer.

The Role

You will be responsible for the specification, installation and successful launch of the new production assembly line.

Develop production capability of current and new products.

The optimisation of production processes in order to improve key manufacturing KPI’s.

Support both Manufacturing and Engineering teams with data driven analysis that allows improvements to be made.

Develop production capability of current and new products.

Develop and manage productivity and automation across the product portfolio.

Identify potential quality risks using PFMEA process and then implement processes to ensure risk is eliminated.

To support operations team by producing Assembly Line documentation to support production sequence, work Instruction and tooling.

Drive continuous improvement throughout the business.

Identify and implement process innovation throughout all manufacturing operations.

The Person

An experienced Manufacturing Engineer, with demonstrable experience in developing a production process and successful new product introduction.

Previous experience in project managing equipment installations would be desirable.

Excellent presentation, communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as independently.

Able to manage multiple tasks and projects, prioritise under pressure and be self-motivating.

Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles.

Ability to communicate technical knowledge to all levels within the organisation.
