Job Description

Due to continued growth, we are now seeking a Senior Management Accountant to join our Finance team at our Crick (DC420) site.  This role will cover multiple sites, Rugby And Crick, travel between the 2 sites will be needed.

The successful candidate will report to the Financial Controller and be responsible for the financial reporting for a number of client operations. Working closely with the operational teams and other key stakeholders, they will analyse the performance of the P&L, prepare budgets, forecasts and provide key financial information.

This is a full time, permanent position working Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5pm, offering a competitive salary and package with a forward thinking market leader.

Job responsibilities of Senior Management Accountant include:

Support and Manage a small team of finance colleagues
Oversee the weekly production P&L reporting for sites
Review weekly costings and KPI information to operational teams and head office
Creation and maintenance of accurate MI for the operational team
Supporting role in the preparation or review of monthly management accounts
Produce monthly review pack of financial and operational management information for discussion with customers at review meetings
Produce annual budgets and periodic forecasts
Ensuring customers are invoiced accurately, supporting role in receiving of cash to terms
Supporting role in site self-bill, subcontract and purchase ordering processes
Numerous finance related ad-hoc reports and project tasks as required
Travel between Great Bear Lutterworth and Great Bear Rugby with ad hoc travel to other Culina sites

Qualifications

As Senior Management Accountant you will possess the following skill, experiences and qualifications:

Experience in the logistics industry
Proven management experience
Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) or QBE
Advanced Excel skills
Financial modeling experience
Attention to detail and analytical approach
Clear and succinct communicator at all levels
Experienced in accounts preparation, including journals, accruals, prepayments, depreciation and income deferral.
Questioning and enquiring approach with a real desire to seek out new methods that will allow more efficient provision of accurate financial data.
Comfortable working individually and as part of a team, sharing knowledge and improvement ideas for the benefit of the Company and its staff.
Hard working and flexible, with a strong commitment to meeting deadlines.
Ability to coach and mentor at different levels within the Company, to provide an understanding of finance to non –finance staff.
