The Role

Dealing direcrtly with customers both face to face and over the phone
Work alongside the logistics controller to ensure smooth daily operation
Coach and mentor Logistics apprentice(s)
Manage customer expectation at all stages of the delivery journey
Participate in the development of the business
Identify new business opportunities and develop relationships with potential clients
Planning and scheduling deliveries effectively and to strict deadlines
Liaising with 3rd party contractors and agenciesRequirements

Experience in a similar fast paced role, ideally in transport/logistics
Ambitious
Passionate about delivering consistently great customer service
Calm under pressure
Strong IT/computer skills
Adaptable and resilient with the ability to resolve unforseen issues as they arise
Able to work within time sensitive deadlines without compromising standards
Attention to detail
Process driven
Some B2B sales experience would be beneficialPlease note that this role is office based, Monday to Friday and will suit someone with experience in logistics/transport planning or freight forwarding. Due to the nature of the time sensitive/same day industry, this is a challenging role, varied and very fast paced. It will require you to display the best version of yourself constantly. In return, you will receive a basic salary starting from £27k although this is negotiable if you are the right person. There is a quarterly bonus scheme and monthly awards programme as well as the usual benefits such as pension, parking, health & wellbeing programme and private medical/dental insurance.
